1) He/She must want kids.
2) He/She must be a Christian.
3) He/She must want to work in full-time ministry.
4) He/She must love the movie, “The Notebook.”
5) He/She must love taking long walks on the beach.
Sound Familiar?
A list of ”non-negotiables” is pretty common in the realm of Christianity. Are they wrong? No. But are they your answer to finding the one? Nope, not even close.
Having a list of what you are looking for in a significant other is great. It means you actually took time to think for a change. But I think there is something way more important than a list that describes your perfect mate.
Can you guess what it is? It’s who you need to be first.
My Point: Focus on being the right person before looking for the right person. Everyone wants to find their future husband or wife, but what everyone needs to realize is that a relationship without God will eventually turn into a relationshipwreck. (clever huh?)
God is more focused on who you are becoming, than who you need to be with. Turn the focus on your heart before trying to gain the love of someone else’s.
Don’t worry: He/She will come when the time is right. But don’t let your impatience ruin your inner-transformation. Seeking God first is always the way to go. He will never stray you wrong.
Psalm 105:5 - Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

who will take me to the most dangerous and darkest parts of the world where there’s no gospel being preached, no light as a witness and is willing to lead me to my death though it be painful and/or violent
and i will give him an I do.
I am in tears while listening to this song. What a beautiful prayer for the Bride of Christ!
